WHO WE ARE
The Gentlemen of the Garden, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in January 1990 in Palm Beach County by founder Jim Butler. Originally formed with 21 members, the group’s mission was to raise funds in support of maintaining and restoring the historic Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens.
Since then, the Gentlemen of the Garden—commonly known as the GOGs—have remained dedicated supporters of the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens while expanding their philanthropic reach. Their contributions have included donations to Mounts Botanical Garden, The Community Foundation Green Fund, and several other local initiatives.
Today, the GOG has grown to more than 60 members, all committed to promoting education, sustainability, and environmental stewardship within the community.
PARTNERS

The Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens, Inc. is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) operating foundation established in 1977. Supported by an open public membership and an elected Board of Trustees, the Gardens offer a schedule of exhibitions by recognized artists in an intimate residential setting.

The Garden was named in honor of Marvin U. “Red” Mounts, who served as the first assistant agricultural extension agent in 1925 after graduating from the University of Florida. He continued serving Palm Beach County for over 40 years. He established and cared for the Garden’s collection of fruit trees to help produce new food resources that could help families overcome vitamin deficiencies.

The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties strengthens our communities by leading philanthropy and solutions through their direct work with donors, nonprofits, and the community. The 501(c)(3) foundation is the foremost resource for convening partners to elevate people, improve lives and make our community a better place.
